Brilliant: of course, Americans will have to understand that #BritishSignLanguage will include a lot more "u"'s. Seriously, as a lawyer I acted for various deaf folks and always regretted not learning basic, at least, sign language.

While I'm always concerned about adding to the burden of #teachers, and of course there are issues of the resource(s) to support such provision, in the main I think the introduction of a GSCE in #BritishSignLanguage has to be seed as good news for diversity & inclusivity... how it works out in practice is altogether another matter (unfortunately)!

More #Introduction I originate from Scotland but I've been based on the Isle of Wight for most of my life.

I can't vote for it, but I'm hoping for an #IndependentScotland so I can get my #Scottish passport and rejoin the #EU.
