I'm a biology student based in Northern Germany, interested in #ecology and #entomology, especially #beetles
Currently, I'm working on my bachelor's thesis about the biodiversity of rove beetles (#Staphylinidae) in a Hamburg nature reserve.

Hi Mastodon! My account has been very quiet, but I'm going to make a more concerted effort to engage with all of you! I'd call this a reintroduction, but I'll use the #introduction tag.
I recently turned 40. I live in the Milwaukee, WI area with my wife and our three dogs.
Professionally I work in data engineering and love vast portions of my job. It's not going to be my focus on here though because I spend too much time on it as-is.
Personally, I'm an avid runner (#running), I love #film, I enjoy #F1 (I'm relatively new and prefer Williams, but don't have a favorite driver or team—I think everything about it is fascinating), and spend most of my time with my dogs (#dogsofmastodon), Tess, Ripley, and Ash. Tess, a 6-year old heeler mix, loves agility courses. Ripley, a 4-year old heeler mix, enjoys agility and also competes in Flyball. Ash, the 10-month old heeler mix, is new to the pack and loves to terrorize his older sisters. We think he'll excel at Flyball and we'll be introducing him to the sport over the winter.
