I have had to have a few ankle fusions since a motorbike accident in 2004. My most recent fusion was in 2019 and involved two screws to attach the calcaneous heel bone to the talar bone above it.
The screws are each 7 mm diameter and about 70 mm long and I’ve had to have them removed because they were pushing through the flesh at the back of my heel making it hard to walk.
Here is the photograph of the x-ray. The plates and screws above are from previous fusions and are not causing any problems at the moment.

This is the results of a midlife crisis involving a Kawasaki GTR 1000 touring bike.

The image is almost quiet - quite the contrary to my actually feelings about home, the world, the universe and all the rest.

Na dany znak przeprowadzono mnie korytarzem, po którego suficie łaziły sobie znudzone najwyraźniej lampy, do innej celi, a właściwie komórki, ciemnej jak mogiła. Nie chciałem tam wejść, lecz zostałem wepchnięty przemocą, drzwi zatrzasnęły się, coś zaszumiało i zza niewidzialnej przegrody doszedł mnie głos wołający jakby w niebiańskiej ekstazie: „Chwała Panu! Mogę mu porachować wszystkie kości!” Po wysłuchaniu tego okrzyku jeszcze gwałtowniej się opierałem tym, którzy zaraz wyciągnęli mnie z ciemnej klitki, lecz widząc, jak usiłują okazać mi niespodziewane całkiem względy, jak zapraszają uprzejmymi gestami, całą postawą objawiając rewerencję, dałem się prowadzić w głąb podziemnego korytarza…

My #xray & #bloodtest results.

Significant changes in my knees due to severe #arthritis.

Given the #option of #kneereplacement #surgery or managing the pain.

I’ve opted for pain management for now.
I’ve seen how my better half was after her knee surgeries!

My hand X-ray just showed the severe arthritis. No recommendations for that.

Blood test shows possible signs of early #diabetes. Previous tests have shown none.

Have to change my diet for a couple of months & get another blood test.
