Well, I checked again, and the links on the English version of the article haven't been updated.
Obviously I shouldn't be making this edit myself, but I wonder if there's a #wikipedian willing to take a look? Maybe?

I notice that you have #wikipedian hashtag. I've edited a decent amount but not enough to consider me that. But I have questions and am not sure how to get them addressed. How, for instance, to ask for work on an entry that I am not qualified to do.
And how to move up in tasks: e.g. to go from editing to creating entries. Or, sometimes it seems that an entry could use a revamp but I'm not sure the process for doing it. It doesn't seem right to do it unilaterally.

Wikipedia war: Fierce row erupts over Israel’s deadly Nuseirat assault - Rescue operation or massacre? #Wikipedia editors clash over the recent Israeli raid in the central Gaza refugee camp.(Al Jazeera, 2024-06-14)

As a #Wikipedian, I’m happy to find such a detailed and yet comprehensive article about editing Wikipedia.
Initially I was sad about #StackOverflow's collapse, not so much because I've contributed a lot to it (and as a #Wikipedian, I've already resigned myself to big tech trying to sell my own words back to me), but because I learned a lot of programming and statistics from it; it gave me focused answers to specific problems. It already bothered me that my students were turning to AI for that purpose, and now what I was telling them to use instead is turning into AI slop... (1/2)
@futurebird It seems that Google crawlers should be able to detect scraped copies of #Wikipedia being used as #linkfarms and keep them from coming up in search results. Promoting such sites in their search results must be contrary to their business interests. Over 20 years ago, I edited the Wikipedia disambiguation page on Eglantine, to list a nickname I used on an LoTR bulletin board as the second cousin of Pippin’s mother. I thought it was moderately clever and I was curious to see how long it would take to be reverted. It didn’t take long, but while it was up, a massive Russian site scraped it. It’s still there. Hobbits and ants both deserve better. #Wikipedian https://en-academic.com/dic.nsf/enwiki/881451
It's been a while since I did an #Introduction #Introductions #TwitterMigration #Connections post where I curate interesting accounts for you to follow in the #Fediverse
Firstly, a warm welcome to @russell_stuart - Russell is the Treasurer of @linuxaustralia and of this year's @everythingopen, which is happening in #Gladstone in about 6 weeks.
Russell is an unsung hero of #OpenSource in Australia - it's his diligence and hard work that has kept the books straight for Linux Aus and auspiced conferences for several years now
@gombang is a tech journalist from Indonesia , #Wikipedian. Posts in #bahasaIndonesia and also #BasoMinangkibau
@histoftech is a #Professor and historian of #technology and you can catch them talking about their work in about 12 hours with the @WomeninAIethics presentation
@iot is the monthly #IoT meeting for folks in #Brisbane #Meanjin #BNE
@mikrotik is the official account for Mikrotik, who make #networking gear like routers
@quinn does a lot of work with decentralized technology @fission and has an interest in #programming languages
That's all for today, don't forget to share your own lists so together we can more richly connect the #Fediverse
@Ooze @trishalynn @Damon Good luck. I used to spend more time on #Wikipedia than social media. Dealing with #Deletionists discouraged me and I cut back on my editing hours. It wasn’t so much the few negative comments that showed up on my talk page, but the comments made in deletion discussions on some articles that I had started or many that I watched. The cadre of pissants that would show up at every attempt to delete an article about a public high school almost always supported each other with arguments that, essentially, ignored Wikipedia’s Five Pillars in favor of “I’m not interested in this, so it doesn’t belong here.” The same opposition was raised to articles about young or female achievers other than in tech or other fanboy favorites. It was also clear that few editors or admins understood what a #Gazetteer was, as opposed to an encyclopedia. I’m going to follow you in hopes that your research will show up before too long. #Wikipedian #Inclusionist
@petersuber @OpenAlex I’m not an academic, so I only used Scholar a few times when editing #Wikipedia articles. I just tried this in my iPhone. It has a very clean UI with no ads and was lightning fast. However, searching for both Bolinas and “Bolinas” gave me twenty hits for “bolina” (a butterfly) for every useful one. I didn’t find a sort or filter to fix this, but it seems necessary. #Wikipedian
First post who dis?
I'm a #Wikipedian who does #Wikipedia things. I have 20k edits to English Wikipedia and am extended confirmed, a page mover, new page reviewer, and rollbacker.
Allow me to add a couple relevant tags for #Wikipedia 's #Wikipedian #Wikipedians and #Wikimedian #Wikimedians to become aware of this critique. #WMF members and related #wiki movements may also be interested.
@jonny It seems like old-fashioned training and administrative manuals should be able to form the basis of an organizational wiki, although editing documents at those levels would have to be more restricted or more hierarchical than on #Wikipedia. Does Word or anything similar have templates for creating wiki articles? #Wikipedian #Bureaucrat
When I edit a significant #Wikipedia page, esp. one that has editors with agendas, and the edit stands and isn't reverted, it makes me a proud #Wikipedian
Hey, I take the joy where I find it.
Tales of @wikipedia
A very intellectual, and somewhat famous, person passed away.
Its intellectual friends want to keep editing his birth and date sections without any citations.
These are the 'smartest of smart' people yet they completely feel no need to rely on or conform to WP:BLP, section WP:BDP.
We understand your friend died. A single post on Twitter and Mastodon by the same person is not enough to meet the guidelines. #Wikipedia #Wikipedian
I'm curious if there other #Wikipedia editors out there.
Here's my editor profile: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Jmbranum
Interestingly the #OED doesn't have a sub-entry for the computer science (and Mastodon's) usage of instance. From instantiation it came, if I am not mistaken. Discuss. Full disclosure: I am a #Wikipedian.)
#introduction - Hi folks, I'm Pax Ahimsa Gethen aka funcrunch. Queer, Black, trans (agender/non-binary/transmasculine), vegan, atheist, pacifist. Longtime Wikipedia editor and San Francisco resident.
(Edited to test new edit function and add a couple fun facts & hashtags.)
@miriamkp I'm hoping that #PublicDomainReview heads over to Mastodon soon. Their site is perhaps my second favourite on the web after #Wikipedia.
We did an article on #volcano hunter Tempest Anderson back in 2015 as part of a #Wikipedian in residence project with #WikimediaUK.
The lantern slides are part of the #YorkshireMuseum collection and were digitised on site and at the #JohnRylandsLibrary in Manchester.
