Queensland—and Australia as a whole—must implement a tax on gas exports from Gladstone. An alarming 75% of East Coast gas is shipped overseas, mainly to China, while households and businesses in the eastern states struggle with shortages and soaring prices. We need to put Australians first and secure an affordable domestic supply.
