I'm working through bootcamp on Web Development. I completed the HTML portion. The next part of my journey is CSS. I hope I can get my head around it better than I have with HTML portion. #CodingBootcamp #WebDevelopment #CodingJourney

I'm manually transcribing the AltairBASIC source, ten lines a day starting today
Yesterday I briefly implemented ssh tunneling in ts for hivessh.
A normal day of coding!

As the year wrapped up, I spent some time reflecting on my transition from a CyberSecurity engineer to Principal engineer which inspired me to write a blog about the steep learning curve of writing quality coding and—how I used #rust to reinforce my skills. Check it out and let me know what you think!

Hi everyone! I hope you're having a good night, morning, or whatever time it is where you are. I slept most of the day, but now I'm curled up in bed propped up against my new wedge pillow (a birthday gift!) with the heated blanket my mom gave me draped over my lap. It was supposed to be a Christmas present, but she gave it to me early since it's cold here and my joint pain has been worse in this weather.
I'm sipping coffee, watching TV, and getting some work done. I'm also about to buy a Raspberry Pi 5 with some birthday money—so excited for that! Afterward, I need to tackle lesson 15 exercises for my Braille proofreading course, work on Codecademy and freeCodeCamp lessons, and update my website. That said, I might just fall asleep as cozy as I am right now, and honestly, that's okay. This joint pain has been rough lately, so extra sleep might do me some good.
This heated blanket is so soft and warm—I love it! Stay safe and warm out there!

Hey everyone!
I've been diving into React on freeCodeCamp, and wow, it's quite the challenge! As someone who's totally blind and learning to code, I'm finding it a bit tricky to wrap my head around all the concepts. The whole component-based architecture is fascinating but also a bit overwhelming at times.
I'm really determined to push through because I believe in the power of accessible apps and want to contribute to making tech more inclusive for everyone. Plus, it's exciting to think about all the possibilities once I get the hang of it!
If anyone has tips or resources that might help make learning React a bit easier, I'd love to hear them. Also, if you're learning React too, let's connect and support each other!
I just earned the JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures certification from freeCodeCamp!
This course covered fundamental programming concepts and JavaScript syntax. I learned about OOP, functional programming, algorithmic thinking, and how to work with various data structures.
Excited to apply these skills to build more accessible and inclusive web applications! #CodingJourney #JavaScript #WebDevelopment #Accessibility #freeCodeCamp

Good morning, all! Just woke up, had breakfast, and now I'm sipping re-heated coffee from last night's pot. Today's agenda: a neurologist appointment for nerve block injections to manage my #OccipitalNeuralgia. It's a mix of dread and anticipation - painful procedure, but months of relief make it worthwhile.
This round wore off early due to a brief gap in my medication, but I'm hopeful for better results this time.
On the learning front, I'm diving into lesson 13 of my #BrailleProofreading course after receiving feedback on lesson 12. Also on the to-do list: finishing a #freeCodeCamp #JavaScript project - a #Pokémon search app. I've been procrastinating a bit because JS can be challenging!
How's everyone else's day shaping up?
**Finally finished my #freeCodeCamp cash register project!**
This one was a real challenge, but with the support of several amazing people, persistence, and some thorough Web searches, I got it done! This has been the hardest project yet, but now I’m 4/5 of the way through the #JavaScript certification!
Next up is a project that will dive into #asynchronous programming. Here’s what I’ll be tackling:
**Project: Learn Asynchronous Programming by Building an fCC Forum Leaderboard**
*Status: Not started*
JavaScript is an asynchronous programming language, and this project will help me gain proficiency in asynchronous concepts. I’ll be coding my own freeCodeCamp forum leaderboard.
This project will cover:
- The Fetch API
- Promises
- Async/Await
- The try..catch statement
I’m making so much progress and learning a lot! Sometimes it feels frustrating when things take longer to understand, but I know that every step is part of the journey.

I’ve been thinking about how cycling through Emacs From Scratch configuration phases helps you to learn about what you actually need from an editor.

Day 22 of #100DaysOfCode: Dived deeper into Dr. Angela Yu's course & also started 'Code the Classics'. Today's win? A Pong paddle that stays in bounds!
Big thanks to the 'Code the Classics' team for making a book that's not just instructional but also beautiful.
Feeling closer to becoming a Pythonista with every line of code. This is more than a challenge; it's a transformative experience.
