I love that more and more Glasgow businesses are using hand-painted signage which is much more in-keeping with the traditional Glaswegian architecture. This really enhances the local streetscapes.

Looking east along St Andrews Street in Glasgow at the end of a sunny Spring day. The building in the distance is the 18th Century St Andrew's in the Square, designed by Alan Dreghorm and modelled on the earlier St Martin-in-the-Fields in London.
The former National Bank of Scotland building on the corner of Trongate and Glassford Street in central Glasgow. Built in 1903 and designed by T.P. Marwick, it's a real gem in Glasgow's architecture, but unfortunately the surrounding buildings somewhat let it down.

Cherry blossom season has arrived on Edgehill Road in the Broomhill area of Glasgow. The city might not be known for its cherry blossoms, but Glasgow has more than its fair share of them at this time of year, and I just love seeing them.

The Classical style Royal Crescent, just off Sauchiehall Street in the West End of Glasgow. This terrace of townhouses were designed by Alexander Taylor and were built between 1839 and 1851.
