Waterscape Harmony

I find this image of the Gulf of Mexico, as seen from the beach at Gulfport, Mississippi, to be relaxing. The original photo was so overexposed that it appeared almost entirely white, save for the timber pile and the pelican positioned in the center of the frame. I worked to recover as much detail, and this was the best result I could achieve. One detail that piqued my curiosity is the structure visible on the left, near or at the horizon. It resembles an oil platform, which intrigues me because it’s something I couldn’t discern with my naked eyes while on the beach. It seems that the overexposure unintentionally revealed objects farther out that were otherwise imperceptible.

The photographs I share here don’t appear as vivid as they do in my Pixel’s gallery. This is because I reduce their size and slightly lower their quality to make them quicker and easier to load. Feel free to take a look:

Good morning. 🍂🍃🐶

I’ve been staring at muddy water spots on the bottom of my office door for days now. I really should grab something to wipe them off. A detective conducting a splash analysis would probably conclude that one of my dogs came in from outside, wandered over to my office, and did that signature shaky, splashy thing that wet dogs do. The spots are pretty low on the door, so my money’s on Ben. That’s a solid guess, considering Ben usually makes his presence known by shaking and producing the unmistakable flapping sound of his long ears. Oh well, living with dogs requires patience and the occasional cleanup on aisle seven. Speaking of dogs, Charlie just strolled in to remind me that mealtime is right around the corner.

A group of Zulu performers at a safari park near Durban share a vibrant and expressive dance, inspired by ceremonies that may be seen at Zulu weddings. While the performance is tailored for visitors, it offers a glimpse into the rhythm, energy, and storytelling that are integral to Zulu cultural celebrations.
