Today, do we see many who are champions of “reformatory enterprises” who are fine with charitable operations being completely shut down? How good is that faith?

Due to extensive medical billing and almost losing our home just a few days ago, we cannot eat until next week. We already haven't eaten for about a week already.

We're all disabled, mentally ill, with only 1/5 able to work for minimal pay every two weeks. I'm trying to get $50 to feed us.

Vaccine-induced immunity is better because it’s safer. When you get infected with COVID, symptoms from the infection wreak havoc on your body. Whether or not you’ve been infected or vaccinated previously, the COVID booster is going to strengthen your immune responses to high levels and do so in a safe way.

Can I still get COVID if I’m vaccinated?

People who are vaccinated can still get COVID, but it is much more likely they will experience mild symptoms. Vaccinated people are much less likely to experience severe illness or get so sick that they need to be hospitalized. Data continue to show that those who are hospitalized with COVID are largely people who have not received a COVID vaccine within the past 12 months.

Particularly for people at higher risk of severe COVID, vaccination is an essential tool for reducing COVID complications, hospitalization, and death.

Can you get the flu shot and the COVID vaccine at the same time?

Yes! In fact, studies have shown that people who decide to spread out their vaccines into separate appointments often don’t follow through with getting both. We’ve also seen that the immune response generated by each vaccine does not change based on whether they are administered at the same time or separately.

It’s important to remember that many of the same populations at high risk of experiencing severe illness from COVID are also at high risk of severe influenza. Especially for these vulnerable populations, it’s a good idea to time your vaccines together.”

I saw this sign at the gym for my group fitness class for adults and thought: These are great reminders for everyone, regardless of age.

Let’s strive to practice kindness and create a supportive and inclusive environment, which is beneficial for everyone’s mental and physical well-being.

David James Burrell, Dutch Reformed pastor in NYC, laments the Armenian genocide. He says solution is “the processes of gospel of Christ.” I agree.

With sad irony, one must note the two regions Burrell claims were so transformed (in his 1920’s view) are Italy and Germany. It didn’t last. But where else were “processes of the Gospel” found but in the Confessing Church (Barmen 1934, #bonhoeffer, etc.)? Do we need to keep applying?

If you help us spread it far enough, people in Gaza can be prioritized at their turn to effectively funnel in the money to help them reach their targets, rather than having uneven distribution that prevents most of them from reaching their targets.

Of course, this is just a band-aid fix. Without an immediate ceasefire and pressuring Western governments to reinstate UNRWA funding and force the israeli apartheid regime to let in aid unconditionally, the overwhelming majority of people in Gaza will not have access to their basic needs.

But we hope this campaign will make a difference in the lives of some individuals. To them, these campaigns mean everything to them: it is a matter of life or death.
