Omfg :blob_rainbowheart: :blahaj: :breadnommed: I think I finally understood #Python, #Lutris and #GTK sufficiently, and my brain decided to do one of these super rare happy chemical flushes. :blahaj: Fucking Poggies. 🎆

The speed result is completely inaccurate (turns out the existing Downloader class doesn't wait long enough if all you care is for the very first measurement), but right now I'm just happy it updates the text accordingly every time. :blahaj:
#coding

Back to #Wayland and input methods.

What's your favorite input method?

Cause for me it was the one on old #Nokia phones. I could type with my hands in my pockets! Handy in winter.

codeberg.org/dcz/stiwri

Tested with #cosmic and #GTK .

This is just the beginning. Actually useful stuff is coming in the future. #Mobile keyboards, #Chinese input is what it's for:

gitlab.freedesktop.org/wayland

Can someone make a real open source svg/vector #editor. Something like affinity design, but runs on all operating systems. OSX #Linux windows. That does not use #GTK because every GTK app is not suited for real work when you wanna get stuff done I’m sorry I need menus lists and dropdowns no hamburger trash plz.
#krita #gimp #inkscape #pinta #karbon none of these fill the void at least with vector editing, & having sensible key bindings. I would be more than happy to pay for the application.

Hello guys, I released Serigy, an app to pin information from the clipboard.
The idea came about to solve the problem of copying multiple items at once and pasting them in different places. I was hesitant to use a clipboard manager because it felt invasive. After months of development and use, I decided to publish it.

- If you wanna contribute: github.com/CleoMenezesJr/Serig

- Get it on #Flathub: flathub.org/apps/io.github.cle

Today's mental health exercise:

I invested some time and blocked some (N=13) rude GTK devs from my life. Fediverse, Github, Gitlab, Codeberg, and their emails were added to spam list.

Before this I only had ever blocked 3 people in my entire online life, but today I felt it is necessary for my own peace of mind to do this cleansing.

Less rude and self-centered egomaniac people in life would definitely improve life quality. 🌿 🕊️

Now back to my research 🤓

Gajim updated to version 2.0.3 (which uses Gtk4) and it got worse

Now due to changes in how Gtk and the font library interact the X heights of letters aren’t even all the same (fixed by ini file edits; but that indicates that default settings are bad)

plus, if i finger select a menu and then try to click off it, i am literally incapable

this far and no further. I am never updating gajim again if i can avoid it
