Guess what? I got the lens focus driver working on my #Pixel3a running #postmarketOS

It's still very messy and I haven't found out the correct values for everything but I can set the focus using my poor-mans PipeTap.

I'm on vacation for the next 2 weeks so I won't have time to work on getting it upstreamed but if you want to play around with it you can pm me to get the patch.

This took annoyingly long to setup and it is already past my bed-time, but here y'all are.

There was a small regression in the framebuffer, but that can be fixed pretty easily.

All the modern code was done by @riscv64. I just did the postmarketOS integration. Give 'em a follow!

(Ignore the bad camera quality. This is the best camera I have, ironically enough.)

I have published the snippet of code that implements a GPU-based ISP with bunch of corrections and encodes video in real time on the Librem 5. Feel free to take parts of it and use in your apps and frameworks... or record your cats

For fun I wanted to try coming up with my idea for a postmarketOS mascot.
(this is totally unofficial btw! I hope folks from @postmarketOS dont mind.)

I made the initial sketch in Krita, but then decided to finally give Inkscape a try, took me whole weekend but it's here!

Also shout out to @RannyBergamotte who came up with the cute little stick arm version of pmOS logo, I had to include it!

The (poor...) way #Linux handles Out Of Memory situations, and the lack of sophisticated application lifecycle management in FOSS toolkits, can make life on #LinuxMobile not so much fun. When memory fills up too much, devices lag and random stuff breaks.

@fakeshell from @furilabs ported #lmkd from Android to "pure" Linux and improved it in many ways. It consumes much less resources than #earlyoom and took my #FLX1 to over 5 days uptime for the first time!
