Visitors stand below Seljalandsfoss, one of the most famous waterfalls in a country where there are about 10,000.
Seljalandsfoss, a tourist hotspot in the south of Iceland, takes its source from the Eyjafjallajökull volcano glacier, and is formed by the Seljalands River pouring from a height of about 60 metres.

Seljalandsfoss from behind. I spent quite a bit of time just standing under that waterfall. It was such a gorgeous day and there were not many tourists. We even enjoyed a rainbow as the sun shown through the mist.

#Seljalandsfoss waterfall which we could walk behind and try to not get too wet. A superb day, long, but well worth it. #Iceland #LandOfFireAndBeauty
This one I never heard. Where is it located?
I felt in love with #Skógafoss
When I visited Iceland first waterfall was #Seljalandsfoss
Next day in the early morning I had really deep shaking in my soul during hiking around Skógafoss
To get in touch with both waterfalls and their water spray during walking in front or behind of them, I realized that now a wonderful trip has started.
Sharing one of my favorite images from #Seljalandsfoss for #WaterfallWednesday. We spent two weeks travelling through #Iceland this spring and are already planning a return trip!
#Seljalandsfoss, Iceland
This 200' #waterfall has a trail that hugs the cliff beneath the falls. I took this image from the exit path after being misted upon to my delight. It's an easily accessible destination in southern #Iceland.

Continuing my unplanned #travel recommendations guide for #Iceland today, for #WaterfallWednesday this is #Seljalandsfoss in the south of the country as visited in December 2018 with the sun only just still above the horizon. You can normally walk behind this #waterfall but as you can see, it was far too dangerously icy to attempt it on our visit.

Behind the waterfall Amazing Seljalandsfoss in Iceland. Yes, you can walk right behind this wonderful waterfall -- but be prepared to get wet!
And please be extra cautious in Winter, it will be slippery. A hidden #Waterfall near #Seljalandsfoss, #Iceland. To shoot the photo we had to wade through a river with our equipment. Arrived at the waterfall quite difficult conditions were waiting for us. The narrow gorge was filled with spray. So excuse the water splashes on the lens ;-).
It's #waterfallwednesday and here's another gem from #Iceland: #Seljalandsfoss in front of a deep blue sky. ND filter and long exposure was not needed in this case to show off the beauty of this #waterfall.
