Today I actually made a few sessions at the 4th FediForum.
Two were about journalism.
The First was how newsrooms use or rather don’t quite use the Fediverse. Not yet at least. And how it’s all about metrics and tracking to make sure the effort is worth the squeeze. It was organized by Ben Werdmuller from ProPublica.
The second was about how we can get more journalists and newsrooms to use the Fediverse instead of Twitter. This was organized by by Dan Gillmor.
Both were very good discussions and about a topic/industry that I’m very passionate about.
The other one, that I made, was about how to make finding people and accounts easier on a decentralized web. Above my pay grade a bit, but very interesting. It was with Andy Piper and his colleague from Mastodon Development.
And the last one was about how to monetize our feeds. Check out Sub.Club! It’s pretty slick!
Tomorrow is the last day. Can’t wait!
