Trump’s boorish, erratic approach has brought him no closer to achieving his unclear trade goals with China. What it has done is raise the risk of a world recession and make China appear like the more stable and reliable economic partner.
So much for the art of the deal.

Hegseth outlined details of a US airstrike in Yemen in a Signal group chat that included Donald Trump’s vice-president, JD Vance, as well as his national security adviser, Mike Waltz, who mistakenly added Jeffrey Goldberg, editor-in-chief of the Atlantic, to the chat.
