Academic integrity alarm: ChatGPT and other AIs are reshaping cheating on campus
As an adjunct professor, I’m witnessing firsthand how students use AI to generate essays, homework, and exam answers in seconds. It’s a real struggle in my classroom. I fear that without signifiant change, universities will be producing graduates I would not want to hire.
Thinking abandoned.
AI‐written submissions blur originality
Traditional detectors often fail
New AI‐detection tools help—but aren’t foolproof
We must redesign assessments and update honor codes
Balancing innovation with integrity means rethinking how we teach and evaluate learning. How are you tackling AI in your classroom? Would you hire people who don't know how to think for themselves?
