@mikemccaffrey This isn't the same problem that we have here in southern NY State; However, USPS offers an "Informed Delivery" on their https://www.USPS.com web site.
It's a good tool 4 customers when they are out of town 4 a day and not able 2 pick up their mail. The mail carrier is a "rural" delivery & done by mail truck.
They have different issues in the snow & cold, including this situation. I empathize with & support ALL Postal Workers. I've picketed with their union #APWU previously
