House on Dublin Street across from Marsalis Harmony Park, Carrollton, New Orleans. Or perhaps more accurately a pair of houses joined together with a driveway and gateway between. One of those curiosities seen in passing in the older parts of town that make me think "There's probably a story behind that building... but I don't know what it is."

India’s traditional architecture can help cities adapt to climate change by using natural materials and features that stay cool and reduce energy consumption. This vernacular architecture, which varies according to the region's climatic conditions, has been neglected in favor of a Western model that is not well-suited to India’s hot climate. #VernacularArchitecture #ClimateChange #India weforum.org/agenda/2023/08/ind

More unique Lithuanian vernacular architecture, this time from Neringa and Nida, on the Curonian Spit.

The distinctive timber cottages are painted maroon and blue.

The town itself is located on a spit between the Baltic Sea and a freshwater lagoon, with many trees and impeccable white sand beaches. It's a breathtaking location. (I'll aim to post some more photos soon.)
