Idk if it's me or them. I'm switching to mastodon, signal, threema, I deleted over 1500 mikroblogging insta-posts (six years of my lifetime-archive gone). They? Say signal isn't safe enough but stay on WhatsApp, say "I would using signal ony for you (and that's not enough for me to change)". People are so lazy when in their comfort zone and easily distracted by big tech convenience that I don't know how to cope. I want to yell at their faces "just quit that shit, it hurts me", but they still wouldn't. And I don't dare to.

I'm going to silent quit WhatsApp at this point. I'm not so sorry at all, but my heart is aching. Everyone going on with their lifes as if there hadn't been declared a war on trans lifes. My life. I'm in germany so maybe next month after german elections some people will notice how urgent it is to quit big tech, but I don't dare to dream at this point. I'm sad for the people and bubbles I'm leaving behind.

But I'm here for new faces, connections, solidarity and finding my forever spot in (queer) online culture. I'm moving on!

About #PeerTube : what do I need to know as a newbie that never heard of it before?

- can I post my videos like I did on yt?
- will the chosen server has an impact on the uploading process or video quality outcome?
- which server/instance is the one with best reputation?
- can I search for anything I want (I'll figure this one out on my own lol)
- are there follower like p.e. in mastodon or yt itself? Will I have a peertube-channel?
- is anyone using it as a #tiktokrefugee or is it all about longer vids?
