My husband is being transfered to Delaware. His company says it’s because he asked to transfer, but that’s not true. It’s #move or leave. For now moving is a better option in our life’s trajectory.

Finding a nice #rental is a challenge. Good houses near his work are snapped up. So I go into “get it done” mode. Call, message and email like mad. ONE person answers the phone and we are looking at a house within the hour. Application in that night, lease the next day. Yes, it’s 4000 sq ft 1.5 acres and a pool. More house than we need. It’ll be fun while it lasts. And now to make the rest of the move happen + sell house in CA. I’ve done this 40 times before. I can do it again.
I have loved being back in CA where I have many memories - from 6.5 yrs old and then back and forth for a total of 25 years there. Now my mom is gone, my brother moved away and my kids are all over the map. Time for new adventures.

Double hit of #sadness:

Had a casual chat with my landlord to give notice, tell him about the furniture I'm leaving and a few items that will need fixed after I #move 😢

He's always come when I asked for help, even non-landlord stuff #thankful

Then right after that I watched my darling pickup truck drive away to be parked with a sale sign. It has faithfully carried me everywhere for the past 25 years and I love it. I wanted to keep it as a project but I need every little bit of money to move 😭

At the beginning of the pandemic i lost the "job of my live" in musicbiz and had to move to a *much* smaller flat.
Am currently sorting/throwing out most of old stuff out the crammed basement due to a time out.
Just noticed it slowly changed to something like,
reducing stuff to be able to move in one go(van) "out of here" far away as possible - a prepper mindset.🤨 😬 🤔
The privilege?
Still have time/ability to do so. Am not a (immediate) target of any repression - yet.
Scared.
