One of the arguments for renewables and green energy and diversifying from oil and gas is fuel security.

Conservatives really are shite at spotting an opportunity to decrease the power of Putin, Saudi Arabia, Iran, etc… increase our fuel security, self sufficiency & and save the planet into the bargain.

This results from the warming climate caused by human activities, such as burning fossil fuels and deforestation. The impact of extreme heat on fuel markets is worsened by low stockpiles and under-investment in the refining sector.
