Got this "Little Lime" #hydrangea planted to replace a 40-something-year-old azalea bush that died off. It's healthy now, let's see if I don't fuck it up. I've had good luck with hydrangeas as long as they like the spot they're in.

The #Comcast drop runs through here, so I used the side of a trowel to gently scrape dirt out, like I was excavating some priceless archeological treasure. I can live without shrubs, but not without internet.

A newly-planted "Little Lime" dwarf limelight hydrangea sits near the brick exterior of a home. Compared to its surroundings, the soil in this section of the bed is freshly amended and rich looking. Two conduits of coaxial cable meeting in a drip loop are visible in the background. Had to be very careful making a hole here...

Trump’s FCC chair threatens Comcast, demands changes to NBC news coverage

Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr accused Comcast of "news distortion" because its subsidiary NBC isn't parroting the Trump administration narrative on the deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

"Comcast knows that federal law requires its licensed operations to serve the public interest. News distortion doesn't cut it," Carr wrote in a post on X yesterday.

So, I've been really annoyed by #Comcast dropping the #NBCRegionalSportsNetwork from my #Cable package & requiring an additional fee of about $27/mo to get it back in order to watch Giants games on #TV. The alterative of signing up for Peacock to stream the games costs about the same & is equally unacceptable.☹️

However, I just discovered that I can log onto the #NBCSports on my laptop & the NBC app on my phone and, when they're linked to my Comcast account, I can watch Giants (and other games) live without having to pay anything extra for the privilege.😊

I'm not complaining but #WTF !!!??? 🤔

I prefer to be able to record the games on my DVR to watch them when it's more convenient for me to do so but at least now I can at least watch all or part of the game without being suckered into paying more to be able to do so. 👏👏👏

PS: I have absolutely no interest in #Basketbll but I've got the #Warriors game on while waiting for the Giants game vs the #Tigers to start.

#Comcast outage started in my area in #EastCoCoCounty about 2 hrs ago while I feel asleep in front of my #TV. set

Currently watching a #DVD. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to watch anything on the TV.

A good reason to have a separate non-Comcast mobile service to access the Net & to stream media with & to buy DVDs to watch as a back up.

Can also use my phone as a #hotspot if Comcast is still down when I get up later

Comcast attempts to intimidate me into taking down a blog post

Comcast sent me two intimidating letters and a bogus DMCA takedown notice in a misguided effort to get me to take down content they didn't like because it has Comcast executive email addresses in it.

#Comcast didn't get a court order to support the #DMCA request they sent Linode regarding my blog post, because it was entirely bogus and they knew it. They were just hoping I either didn't know my rights or wouldn't take the time to file a counter-notice.
Well, I did, and the required waiting period has elapsed, so I've republished the post they tried to bully me into taking down.
