Another week of seeing patients in family medicine. Masks will always be required in our office. To protect newborns, seniors, people with diabetes, pregnant people, people with cancer, essential workers, my staff, myself, my family. There’s nobody whose health I’d risk. #MaskUp
@nilikm kind of blows my mind that masks are not going to become normal and expected by everyone in a medical facility.
@nilikm Thank you.
@nilikm Thank you, I appreciate you saying it. My sweeties mom’s cancer dr mocked her for wearing a mask. I don’t understand what goes thru some of their heads. #Covid #CovidIsNotOver
@nilikm Yeah & it’s been such a struggle to get her to wear one when we drive her to appointments. That really didn’t help. My sweetie put his foot down though, she absolutely has to wear them around us to protect my health or take transport the 20 miles to town.
@nilikm His 66 year old stage 4 but stable mother not him. Not sure why auto correct cut that.
@nilikm AND an actual N95, a 3M Aura, not one of those pretend ones!
@nilikm TY for doing the right things and thinking of others. BTW: The 3M Aura N95 masks are also my go-to ones. I mask up around others and especially indoors.
Wonderful!
I don't see why masks should not be the norm going forward in all healthcare, eldercare, and related settings. Masks in healthcare are no different than Hardhats & Safety procedures in Construction/Industrial settings. I would love to see OSHA rules amended to require masking in healthcare settings and I would happily comply.
@nilikm I wear when at doctors or dentist offices. Always carry a mask.
@nilikm I’m kind of appalled that this is not universal in medical offices. I got super tuned into this taking my rather fragile mom to medical appointments before her death.
@nilikm Thank you. It's good to know there are still some good doctors out there.
@nilikm Thank you so much
@nilikm I’ve never stopped wearing a mask.
