So @steggy has a good explanation of why this is the dumbest timeline. All these civilisations who have invented time travel know it is terrible. It’s notorious. They keep trying to come back and fix things. And they keep mucking with things and making it worse. Maybe it’s not actually our fault.

From a news article I just read:

"Mastodon, for example, is an ad-free, non-profit social network, making it unattractive to advertisers, explains the Mannheim-based expert."

It shows how messed up our society is that this "expert" talks about the attractiveness to advertisers, but not how not having advertising is attractive to users...

So, this is a relief. But the fact this was a 6-3 vote—when the independent legislature theory was so clearly bunk—is worrying. This was yet another GOP foregone conclusion case: A case set up to achieve a preordained conclusion.
