Schon mehrfach habe ich in Gesprächen mit Bekannten und Freunden über den #Osten gehört: „Ach, das gab es bei uns auch.“ Die #Baseballschlägerjahre gab es in #BadenWürtemberg und in #Hamburg in den 80ern. Nur hatte ich nie zitierfähige Quellen.

Nun gibt es diesen Radiobeitrag zu #NeonaziTerror in Hamburg. Mit Morden, rassistischen Pöbelein in Bussen und Bahnen. Die Polizei sah weg, die Justiz strafte nicht, die Politik konnte weit und breit keinen #Rechtsextremismus erkennen.

In einem Prozess wurde argumentiert, dass es ja kein Mord sein könne, weil das Mordmerkmal der Heimtücke ja nicht gegeben sei, weil das Opfer ja schon bewusstlos war, als es dann totgeschlagen wurde.

Die Welle der Gewalt endete erst, als migrantische Verbände selbst den Widerstand organisiert haben.

Dieser Radiobeitrag zeigt recht deutlich, dass es die #Baseballschlagerjahre bereits in den 80er Jahren in Hamburg gab. Damit sind alle Versuche, die Welle der Gewalt im Osten auf eine irgendwie geartete Andersartigkeit der #Ossis zurückführen zu wollen, ad absurdum geführt. Es ist wohl eher so, dass West- und Ost-Nazis nach der Wende das Machtvakuum im Osten nutzten und da fröhlich weiter machten. Die Politiker, Polizisten und Juristen kamen auch aus dem Westen und machten auch fröhlich weiter nichts.

Zusätzlich wurde die Wut zurückgebliebener, weniger gut ausgebildeter und sich zu kurz gekommen fühlender Ossis genutzt und instrumentalisiert.

Letztendlich liegt die Miesere, in der wir uns gerade befinden, wohl nicht daran, dass alle Ossis zu heiß gebadet wurden, sondern hat in Ost und West dieselben Ursachen.

Gengenbach had a couploe of very narrow paths and a beautiful street.

Baden-Baden must have been of a lot of glory - it's still very cool to walk through it! But for the people "a while ago" this must have been REALLY impressive.

Would just be nice if the old building on the first photo would find a good investor and be brought back to good use 😕

Last post from this day! "All Saints' Abbey" in the #BlackForest . While we sat at the nearby cafe, I read about the history of the abbey. I found it pretty interesting.

The light wasn't great for super photos of the #abbey . But I still wanted to take you with me to this place. I always try to imagine how it must have been to build this ..

Here's a view of the #Sankenbachsee in the #BlackForest (#schwarzwald). Taken on a #hiking day during our vacations.

It's a bit of an interesting story as the lake is a natural lake that silted up but was dammed up again in 1980. Pretty good that this was done.

Hello friends!

I wrote about the first #hiking day in the #BlackForest . TL;DR: really read signs along the trail 😉

It was a good start into our vacations! I was surprised how green everything was. along a #lake and a #waterfall - through nice #forest trails and between cells of thunderstorms.

I remembered so many details while writing this post. That itself was worth the time.

Der Screenshot zeigt die Unwetterwarnung des deutschen Wetterdienstes am 17.05.2024 - inwzwischen sind an mehreren Orten Jahrhundert-Hochwasserstände weit übertroffen worden, etliche Ortschaften werden evakuiert - aber auch im Nachbarland Frankreich sind gleich 180 Ortscchaften von Fluten betroffen. Unsere Gedanken sind bei ihnen. Aktuell hält die Hochwasserlage noch an - wie beim SWR zu lesen war, mindestens noch bis morgen (18.05.2024) Mittag.
