tentatively ID'd as #Ratibida sp (prairie coneflower), but there are many species that look like this

#Ratibida columnifera, a pure yellow selection of the species (which is sometimes splashed with mahogany-red). The species is sometimes called prairie coneflower but that invites confusion with Echinacea; it's closer to black-eyed susan, Rudbeckia.
