I’m not feeling the best vibes about Predator: Badlands.
I love what Dan Trachtenberg has done with Prey and Killer of Killers, but the Badlands trailers, including this new one aren’t selling the movie to me.
I think the main thing that is throwing me off is the look of the Predator in this movie. It doesn’t look right.

Outside my bedroom window is a growing spider web with a large collection of prey. I have been watching this collection increase for a week or more. It has even remained after the windows were cleaned. The window cleaner must have carefully avoided the web because they left it completely intact. I haven’t seen the film Madame Web, but I suspect this spider might have been its inspiration because it has amazing survival capabilities.
Nature is full of networks of interacting species: predators and prey, hosts and parasites, plants and pollinators. Stone et al. analyze patterns in these networks to help us understand how biological communities develop, and to predict interactions for as yet unsampled species.

Maybe the orcas off the Spanish coast are insulted by a lack of reciprocal hospitality. I’m disturbed about the beer and pretzels, though.
