The obverse would result in failure.

In several government agencies - including the #DHS, the #DOJ & the #DoD - managers told employees they would have to undergo #LieDetector tests, or #polygraphs, after unclassified information was reported in the media, 6 government workers told Reuters.
#Polygraph results are rarely used as evidence in U.S. courts because of doubts surrounding their reliability.
Maria Konnikova on polygraph testing / lie detectors:
“I will caveat this by saying that it’s impossible to tell when someone’s lying, and anyone who tells you that it is possible is full of shit,” Konnikova prefaced the interview.
