Die Gastsängerin bei diesem gefühlvollen Song war die Schottin Elizabeth Fraser von den „Cocteau Twins“ und „This Mortal Coil“, die hier auch den Text verfasst hat.
A perfect, timeless rainy album to work to.
I still remember the day I bought this album. (On CD*!) I sat in my car and listened to it straight through.

*CDs (compact discs) were a popular physical media format for selling music for roughly 30 years (1985-2015).
Any time I need to chill out, this is one of my go to's.
Angel by Massive Attack
The whole album is dark, but warm and comforting, like burying your head under a warm blanket, or drinking a cup of rich dark chocolate.

#GreatAlbums1990s - #MassiveAttack - #Mezzanine (1998). Mezzanine was a harder turn for MA, although the group’s trip hop stew remains a thick blend of the electronic and organic. Cocteau Twin Elizabeth Fraser sings “Teardrop” with ethereal wonder, although a lot of the rest veers towards rock moreso than in the past. Tricky’s absence is felt – perhaps the one element that would have elevated an otherwise fine disc to Blue Lines/ Protection status.
