A #Mega65 running #ManiacMansion based on IIRC the Amiga graphics and the C64 sound of the game. I by chance wore the appropriate t-shirt, albeit in the German localization.
And I'm still not sure after which related game -- Maniac Mansion or Day of The Tentacle -- the t-shirt is actually modeled after as the verbs don't match as well as I expected.

The fan project Maniac Mansion Mania also brought some funny trash episodes, like Frühjahrsputz (Spring Cleaning) from 2007, where Sandy finds her biology professor in her freezer.

Did you know that a Maniac Mansion Mania Bernard Starterpack C64 (2012) for AGS 3.21 exist? 
This starterpack was created and released by 1mal_volltanken.
Mister L released a trailer in 2007 for a new Maniac Mansion Mania episode filled with references to the Police Quest series. 
Unfortunately, this episode was never released.
Sorry, the trailer is in German.
It's still wild seeing the flashlight in Night of the Meteor.

Maniac Mansion from @grumpygamer is an integral part of my retro gaming cave. And yes, there is an Edna in the window. 
One feature I was personally proud of in my canceled Maniac Mansion Mania episode from 2009 was the joke book. 
Not only did I do the animation on my own with MS Paint, but every time Bernard opens this joke book, he reads another bad joke.
Do you think Jeff has more to offer in Night of the Meteor than in Maniac Mansion?
