Today on Science Friction, it's Mortal Kombat vs Sailor Moon and more!
If you're looking for a Melbourne Comedy Festival show at 4pm (have you checked your clocks today?) then swing by The Oxford Scholar and join us!
I am 22 shows in to the comedy festival and I have been very happy with them all, they are not all the same style but they have all been excellent.
In Mish Wittrup's show tonight I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe. In general I do not recommend things, but this is an exception.
Their run ends this weekend but there are two extra shows added for next week that you should go to.

The Melbourne International Comedy Festival is underway, and @NarrelleMHarris and I are reviewing some of its shows.
Here are our second batch of four reviews - this time we're covering shows by Oliver Coleman, Jenny Tian, Suren Jayemanne, and Chloe Petts. Enjoy!

Gillian Cosgriff is relatable, likeable, and a very talented composer — yes, she injects a few original songs into her standup — as well as a hilarious storyteller. Her dissection of the world and our worries may not offer TED Talk-level insights like those of comedians Daniel Sloss or Hannah Gadsby, but what she delivers might be even better: a sense of lightness and hope to carry into a world full of worries.
Fresh New Worries, her comedy show, was our first at this year’s comedy festival — exactly the kind of show you hope to see first. Highly recommended! #micf2025 #micf #melbourne
For those of you in Melbourne and looking for fun things, Frankie McNair’s Tabitha Booth Variety Spectacular and Formal Apology Hour would be my pick (and there’s $25 tickets on tight arse Tuesdays).

If you're a person who's usually around the CBD at the end of a day, and might feel like seeing a good comedy show ... you should check out one of these!
Due to close timing, you won't be able to do both in one night, but both Becky and Donna are fucking excellent comedians and you'll have a great time either way.
I'm going to see Donna this evening, as Becky has had to cancel. So if you're in the mood for a good show, that's where you should go! See Becky tomorrow!

We got a lovely review for the opening weekend of Science Friction! Check it out!
Because of our great friends who rocked up to support our silly show's opening weekend, this bloody nice little review is in many ways yours. Although in many more ways, it's definitely really ours.

The Melbourne International Comedy Festival is back, and Narrelle Harris and I are reviewing shows. Here are our first three reviews - of William Wang, He Huang, and Maddy Weeks:
Whoa there's a Comedy Festival bar under the portico at the Melbourne Town Hall. Cool idea. This is where the Beatles stood when they visited Melbourne back in the day. :) #micf #Melbourne
Busy night in the city! Lots of people around the Melbourne Town Hall for the Comedy Festival.
Comedy Festival time! @NarrelleMHarris and I are off to shows tonight and tomorrow. Anyone else seeing some acts this weekend?
Hmm this might be heartless but I would've continued the show after the poor deceased person was removed and nearby patrons given the option of refunds. "The show must go on" and all that. Too cold?

A festival? Of comedy? At this time of year? Localised entirely in Melbourne?
Yes, you may see it.
We have physical posters and flyers! The start of the comedy festival is approaching very rapidly, has anyone scanned for weird time anomalies lately?
Do you have an Opinion about a show? Come and tell us and our guests about it!
