@daraghhayes Hi! I heard about the event from a friend who uses Facebook and shared a screenshot in a group chat.
The event took place today at noon at Edgar & Joe's Cafe on 255 Horton Street (Goodwill building). They were talking about doing it weekly.

It was nice to meet other leftists at the anti-capitalist social in #LdnOnt today!
So I was on CBC Radio this morning talking about why the city of #ldnont needs to stop using X/Twitter and it seems to have gotten some traction. I don’t necessarily want to be the face of this movement, but I’m glad we’ve got people talking about it now.

Ontario premier Doug Ford made a special trip to my city, during his reelection campaign, to tell the police and their supporters that he literally wants to kill more people. That there was even "sparse" clapping tells you everything you need to know about the people in charge here.
The London, Ontario LOAF server now has almost ten users, and I'm starting to use the tools provided to organize LOAF!
Using the Collectives app for Nextcloud I made a couple of pages about LOAF that can be co-edited in real time. It's very easy to use!

From my perspective, anti-fascist organizing and pro-Palestinian organizing are different facets of the same struggle.
Earlier this week the Nazis were flying a "MASS DEPORTATIONS NOW" banner in my city. All masked, afraid to show their faces.
I'm not afraid. I'm angry.
For LOAF in #LdnOnt I have a fresh Nextcloud instance with Talk, Office, and many other useful features, free for local organizers.
Also new is https://www.loaf.group/ a wiki where I will soon post notes on running Nextcloud and MediaWiki on Debian.
It's all hosted on my VPS from OVH, with DNS and email hosted by the excellent @koumbit both in Montréal.
The wiki is so others can copy, and maybe get new loaf.group subdomains for their groups.
The last couple weeks I've been working on some online resources for L Organizing Against Fascism, (LOAF) in general and for an #LdnOnt subdomain.
So far all software used has been from official #Debian packages and 100% #FreeSoftware.
Anti-fascist (or anti-capitalist) organizing should NOT be done on Big Tech.
I'm taking notes on every step required to replicate the setup for #LdnOnt and keeping it fairly simple.
