The hit musical Hamilton is canceling its 2026 run at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. This is in response to #TraitorTrump deciding to take over the art institution last month.

Producers of "Hamilton" have cancelled a planned performance of the musical at the Kennedy Center, which had been scheduled for March 3-April 26, 2026 stating "[O]ur show simply cannot, in good conscience, participate and be a part of this new culture that is being imposed on the Kennedy Center."

Lyric Theatre (Sydney) still delivering the ventilation goods. Hovered just below 500 throughout "Hamilton". The stalls looked reasonably full except for a couple of empty seats in front of us.

So... my siblings were able to snag orchestra tickets for us and a friend for the first Asian staging of #HamiltonMusical in Metro Manila! I'll be seeing the international production on November 2 at 8pm.

We took son to see Hamilton last night. He gets nervous in large theatres because he's wary of new situations and sensitive to the noise of applause. But he diligently boned up on the music and practiced breathing exercises when he gets stressed, so it went swimmingly.

The happy expression on his face after the show (and a day later!) was worth it—especially after he got his program signed at the stage door by the Eliza and Jefferson actors! #HamiltonMusical
