Rumor: Sony is helping Valve develop a next-generation device based on AMD’s upcoming Zen 6-based “Magnus” APU.
Unlike the first Steam Deck, this next device is allegedly being treated more like a proper console launch, with full-scale support and long-term vision.
Effective immediately, Microsoft is no longer allowing users to purchase or rent movies and TV shows through its app for Windows PC systems and Xbox consoles.
Honestly feeling a bit sorry for this fella
Little lake house.
Might be a bit of a controversional opinion, but I believe Discord is the wrong tool for public communication for things like game development updates.

Demonic Dungeon is about to reach a sales goal!
I'm currently working on finishing some great updates for DD, if you want to help support that develoment it would mean the world to me!

Cheers!
I did try some more complex dither textures, and they actually worked quite well.
However I then added posterisation, and that looked kind of amazing imo.
I think what I would like is to make the shading rougher so that it doesn't produce the clean lines it has here, or to implement the dithering such that it also goes through multiple levels of shading within the palette rather than just overlaying black. So those are what I will be working on next.

What is everyone's Web-based Game Dev Framework of Choice atm?
Kinda wanna hack on a simple game now and then, mostly to experiment with game design.
Today, I'm going to try improving the Thumbleweed GUI in Temple of the Three Rules.
Not visually, but logically.
Well, actually not exactly, tbh.
I also wish I could redesign the dialog option, too.
I'm not a fan of the AGS Thumbleweed GUI.
This is pretty cool - back in 2010 Stardock released a game called Elemental, and it was a disaster. A buggy, unfinished mess, and not to their usual standards. They're not shying away from that, and in fact they are remastering, rewriting, and rereleasing what they think the game should have been. It'll be interesting to see what comes of it.

Something I don't understand about my #gamedev addiction that I've had my entire life is that... making comics, animations, music, etc. is never *quite as* satisfying as making a video game. I don't get that huge dopamine hit unless I'm coding and doing art/music for my game. WHY?
A NOTE ABOUT ITCH.IO
Dear #GameDev: I'm not going to pretend I know all the details, or that I should be considered an expert, but we need to talk about this situation.
