I've just uploaded a whole lot of new stuff to my personal for-sale site (UK only)
A lot of it is parts for making electric guitar amplifiers (more to come)
there's also a variety of electronics to salvage (many power supplies of various sorts)
some fountain pens (more to come)

old computers and routers
and I'm not done yet.
I really need categories next - but search is working.
prices are mostly somewhat indeterminate as it's a lot of research to work out a fair price, but get in touch if you see anything you fancy.

I was pleased to find pagefind, (pagefind.app) which is a js script that implements search completely locally with no privacy issues and minimal extra bandwidth.
I'm thinking I still might want categories though. But that could easily proliferate and I don't want to do it dynamically I want to keep the site static.
At the moment I'm favouring splitting listings into just two categories:
* working finished objects
* things that are parts/ salvage or repair
Opinions and feedback welcome.

Does anyone in #Pennsylvania or #Maryland inside the #Harrisburg, #Philadelphia, #Baltimore triangle have a line on free, used networking racks, mounting hardware, etc.? I'm looking for mostly the rack rails for some projects.
When I was doing construction/remodeling I saw these getting thrown in dumpsters so often that it feels weird to pay for new ones when I fell like there should be some out there somewhere that are about to get binned.
So I'm having a very large, very slow clearout.
I want to get rid of my stuff with minimal use of evil corporate platforms so I'm trying out listing it on my own website.

For my first giveaway on Freecycle, I posted an unopened storage shelter we bought 3+ years ago that I simply didn't get around to assembling — because reasons.
I had people pinging me all day long about it. At least 10 replies. Finally, a lady came by about 20 minutes ago and hauled it away. The post has been removed.
I think the lesson here is that people like free stuff. #Freecycle
Sometimes you just see something on #Freecycle and think: "Am I in #Fallout? How many screws and gears can I get out of EIGHT sewing machines? Mama was hauling desk fans but this is better!"
So we're giving away a set of workshop/garage/greenhouse shelves in good condition on #FreeCycle

"Er no, you have to collect them !"
"Well you'll need to pay for our petrol then!"

Thanks to #Freecycle I was able to give away a 3 or more foot tall Madagascar palm, a 3 foot false aralia, an overgrown yellow crown of thorns, a healthy streptocarpus and a slipper orchid that took up lots of room but never bloomed for me, all to a good home where they'll get love and great care.
It wasn't until I got it outside that I realized what a magnificent thing that Madagascar palm (not actually a palm) is. But its spines are dangerous and I was afraid for Bridget. #plants
My son and i went for a late night bike ride, someone was offering a free bike computer, exactly what my son was asking for.

Do you live in Metro Detroit? Do you need a refrigerator? There's a working fridge outside Cafe 1923 in Hamtramck. Only thing wrong with it, as far as I can tell, is that the crisper drawer has no top. If you can haul it, you can have it.

Post an item to give away on #freecycle.. on the local group, the post contains (and has to contain) the location of the item which is the really small village I live in.
First message I receive "Where are you approximately please?"
*sigh*
It will never stop annoying me when I offer something on #TrashNothing or #Freecycle, and someone says they want it and names a specific day and time when they're going to come pick it up, and then they no-show and ghost me.
If you're enough of a grown-up to be participating in one of these groups, you're enough of one to figure out to show up when you say you're going to or apologize if you can't.
Grow the fuck up, show some respect for other people.
