Well the CGM sensor I managed to get working seems to be shitting the bed already, 4 days in. I don’t remember Dexcom being this bad when I used them years ago.

This is really messing with my data that my endo monitors.

Really bad timing too.

Gonna give this a bit of time to figure itself out before deciding to ditch it. Finger sticks for now, and maybe turning off CIQ so the Mobi can keep me going.

Carefully gathered and entered a few dozen pieces of information to submit a #dexcom G7 complaint.

When it works, it usually works well, but a decent number of them fall off or malfunction, and then a complaint must be filed to receive a replacement voucher.

If you don't keep up filing the complaints, you'll reach the end of the insured supply before the end of the insurance year. Then you'll have to cough up > $85+HST for each 10-day sensor.

This is an enshittified process.

15 day Dexcom G7 is cleared by the FDA. This comes after their recent controversy of release unapproved updates to the G7 earlier this year.

I would have to guess they made some changes to make it actually last that long because... hoboy… there's a reason I "downgraded" to G6.

Page notes potential 26% failure rate.

Due to release second half 2025. Which includes potentially as late as December.

So which will come first: Libre 3 Plus working with Tandem pumps, or the G7 Ultra Max 15 Day or whatever they end up calling it?

It caused the Mobi to stop basal delivery, and was forcing a modification to my mealtime bolus, reducing the amount by 1/3. This is not okay.

So I changed it.

I really want to go back to Libre 3, but alas, still no info on when integration will be done.

Latest version of Shuggah has a lot of enhancements for Anubis transmitters. I’m still waiting for one to be offered to me. But this makes me hyped up for it.

I wish I could send them old transmitters for hacking, but they only use Facebook for that, and I’m not doing that.

CGM: Is “More” always better? Dexcom’s G7. More Accurate
As we discussed in the first article in this series, there's a lot of marketing about having More with your CGM, whether that's accuracy or data. First up, we're going to look at Dexcom's G7, which we're told is "More Accurate".
When Dexcom tells us that the G7 is the most accu

I was hoping with my last sensor change that I’d be changing to the G6, but CVS hadn’t even ordered them yet. Supposedly they’re ordered, but the status keeps changing.

I bet my next sensor change is still with a G7.

Sigh.

Needed to change my CGM but my pharmacy hasn’t been able to fill my G6 order, so I’m stuck with another G7.

Start of the new G7 is going as expected. Bad.

And it’s terrible timing. I actually feel hypo around 80mg/dl and right now BG reads 81mg/dl. But this G7 is showing 50mg/dl.

This is why I want to “downgrade” to G6.
