Minus 8 here this morning and minus 3 when I took Pearl out. She does make me laugh as she rolls in the ice on the golf course and pokes her nose at the iced mud puddles. I'm sitting in the sun in my living room at the moment; it blasts in here until about 1 and heats the whole living area. The problem is that it's so lovely, I don't want to get up to do anything. I did pull three weeds out of the garden as we came home from our walk. Does that count as a busy day? #CanberraWeather #CanberraWinter #dogsofmastodon #roughcollie

In the Deep South of Canberra, the sun never appeared today - high fog/low cloud is still haunting the area and the sun has apparently now set. Now I understand how the inhabitants of the planet Cricket felt.

It got up to a staggeringly high of 5.6 degrees while feeling like about one degree. Thankfully, there was no wind, or it would have been even worse.

I wonder if we will see the sun tomorrow.

I love night time. Curtains closed, lamps on, heating on low. One dog asleep on the sofa (groaning in contentment) and one in her bed just beside me. 20 rows to go in my furry jumper and it’s finished. Toastie for tea with a glass of red. No demands. Dogs started sleeping outside in summer - their choice. They can get inside through the doggy door if they want.
Cooling down and I felt a bit sorry for them out in the cold so I shifted their beds into the garage. I go to bed, look out my window and there they are lying on the concrete. So I’ve moved their beds back into the courtyard and they’re both curled up there happy as can be. They’ll come inside about 3am, just to make sure they wake me up for the morning walk. #canberra #canberrawinter

Minus 3.8 when I got up. Took the dogs out for their walk. They love the cold and the older one just has to roll in the frosty grass. Lots of the regulars out walking. John had his scarf on but was still in shorts, Maureen looked like a tele tubbie in her layers, Minnie the greyhound was wearing a fetching pink polo neck ensemble.
