This isnt a protest, its an event.
Do you get angry when people like me say things like this, when you imagine you are putting 100% into activism? Do you not understand what I mean about permitted vs unpermitted events? Do you care about change? Human rights?
If you care about change, you may want to study the history of protest and activism in the US, and see for yourself what the conditions were when we've won ANY progress at all over the last 150 years. Hint: permits are a modern idea.
@milkman76 I am not at all putting 100% into activism, and a lot of what I do with political intentions is almost certainly too subtle to have any real impact.
@jeremy_list I was speaking widely and generally to the neoliberal, Laissez-faire (let the markets solve problems created by the markets!) audience, who seem to be doing it again. They are fucking doing it again, yep, and they think they speak for all of us, and that their well-funded, very public events are real activism.
Meanwhile 25% of them still think holding bake sales for missiles is a good idea, and that signs that make fun of gaffes are real weapons in this fight.
