This is not a RouteMaster. This is an older RTL from about ten years earlier i.e. immediately post war. The RT was the standard double decker from AEC ("Associated Equipment Company) Regent Three. The RTL was the Leyland chassis/engine with the same interchangeable body, many of which came from Park Royal. It was very unusual to see a roof box route number on the Leyland buses.
