This study adds to the ongoing discussion about these types of heartburn medications and lower cognition which can lead to dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.”
@auscandoc Now, what the Heck is a proton pump inhibitor?
@DEWLine Sorry.. very commonly prescribed class anti acid medications. Omeprazole, Rabeprazole, Pantoprazole, Lansoprazole, Esomprazole.
Why it’s important to try and tease out if this is a genuine association or not. Still very unclear.
@auscandoc So, definitely *not* calcium carbonate.
@DEWLine You are correct. Sorry for any confusion.
