So I guess EVs do work pretty well in the cold after all ....
Norway is set to become the first country to fully transition to electric vehicles
The country’s electric vehicle sales have increased from less than 1% of total auto sales in 2010 to a whopping 88.9% last year.
EVs accounted for more than 96% of new cars sold in the first few weeks of this year.

The rest of the world is surpassing America technologically. Republicans did this to America on purpose.
@rvaughnmd I think southern Norway is a lot warmer than MN. We do lose a lot of range below 15 F
@jgordon
I did not know that! Looks like average temp around Oslo is about 32 degrees. Practically tropical compared to the frozen north!
I only learned it because I was puzzled that EVs would do so well in Norway. Turns out Norway is pretty darned warm. Early Norwegian immigrants to Minnesota must have been pissed.
@jgordon That made me think of the promises made to the vikings sent to settle in Greenland.
There's one born every minute
@rvaughnmd Having an EV in the winter is very pleasant. It just warms itself up (including engine and battery) shortly before you want to leave.
Our old diesel however ... *shudders*
