Good news! @OttawaHealth is planning to distribute XBB.1.5 #COVID19 mRNA vaccine to community #CovidVaccine providers (that includes family docs!) and OPH clinics in mid/late October. So we can offer it at the same time as #flu shots. #Ottawa, let’s have a #Jabapalooza Oct 22nd!

anyone recently infected has to wait 4-6 months to get a new vaccine, so it's too late for them
@nilikm Now that the new version of #Novavax has been approved in the US, any rumours of when we might see it approved in #Canada, and then when we might see it in #Ottawa? I know #OPH has been quietly offering Novavax for since earlier this year via https://secureforms.ottawapublichealth.ca/vaccines/Novavax/Eligibility-Novavax

I had an email exchange a few days ago with a sympathetic PHAC official and was told that there is still not a clear date for an approval decision. However #Novavax is on an "expedited timeline".
