NOT OK. In the face of antisemitism, disinformation, and a campaign by the far-right to see my head roll, today I’m on trial with the #Ottawa Carleton District School Board, accused of a code of conduct violation for calling out white supremacy and saying #Ottawa trustees should all care about health & safety.

I feel we have been so shielded. Twenty years ago, a friend of mine from South Africa asked me, "Why do Canadians take democracy for granted?" I didn't know what she meant. I couldn't fathom why it would ever be an issue. I didn't think it could happen us. But it's happening. We can't afford to be dismissive. Call out the #hate #antisemitism #racism, #misogyny #anti-LGBTQ.
