Hospitals in several other states including North Carolina and Washington say they are also considering reinstating their mask requirements.

FWIW @luckytran i don't think any hospitals here in NYC stopped the mask mandate. i know that my MD's clinic never did and they're affiliated with Mt. Sinai. you have to wear masks in Mt. Sinai everywhere you go. Same as the public hospital, Bellevue. don't know about NYU or Montefiore though would be shocked if, from the two, Montefiore did. Montefiore has a big activist MD community.

Can you post more about HVAC and ventilation rates? There was old literature from MERS wrt high ACH suppressing hospital outbreaks of that coronavirus.
If people aren’t going to mask, this other piece of NPI becomes all the more important.
What more do we know ‘today’ specific to covid19?

I remember reading that Dr. Kellog ( yes the cereal guy ) helped make washing hands before surgery an accepted practice. Many surgeons refused.
The lack of masking hospitals is asinine just in that way.
It's so weird (from my experience) to see this kind of "news", in my country the health provider never dropped this measure, you can't attend your appoiments if you don't wear a mask period, it's so simple
@luckytran We have a vet appointment for my little boss this morning, whose ear is bothering her. I was happy to hear that the clinic has a mask mandate and has once again closed their lobby. We go in for checkin and then back to our car.
