"Over a recent 22-year period, the Black population in the US experienced more than 1.63 million excess deaths and more than 80 million excess years of life lost when compared with the White population. After a period of progress in reducing disparities, improvements stalled, and differences between the Black population and the White population worsened in 2020."

Thanks!
A lot of us #PublicHealth folks have been singing this song for a long time, and it sucks because it's an obvious outcome of systemic racism.
Unfortunately there are still going to be plenty more downstream effects.
The genocidal hubris of our corporate/political culture is hard for me to begin to comprehend. As with the climate disaster they're allowing, the racist decimation caused by biased health care will reap an unspeakable crop of suffering.
Those fools believe their world isn't impoverished by the horrendous loss. They think money will insulate them from their own portion of it. #smfh #KyrieEleison
