Many state & federal leaders decrying #ColoradoSprings are the same ones given ample chances to vote for #LGBTQ policies to help our community, but don’t. Many support anti-LGBTQ laws.
Homo/transphobia & violence are a direct result.

boosted! Also, everyday spending matters, especially since companies donate to bigoted politicians and/or organizations. I use the HRC employer search to guide my purchases. I won't have money I earned go against my interests. I dont buy bigot chicken sandwiches, bread, gas, electricity, pens, paper, dog food, investments... etc. #MoneyMatters
@DrScottHadland It's been an ongoing assault. Was notified recently that a patient that moved to Texas after being stable under my care for years ended their life 14 months after their move. In New Mexico they were happy with a supportive community and medical team. Their parents were reported to Texas CPS for supporting their care. Their providers in Texas were reluctant to sign off on gender affirming care due to legal threats. Ted Cruz and others support the hate: http://bit.ly/3tNZOIG
@DrScottHadland professionals who provide care need support, not legislative handcuffs from people who never took an anatomy & physiology course. They are conspirators in the unnecessary damage to non-cis, non-straight, non-conforming humans. All I can think of is Robert J Lifton’s book, The Nazi Doctors. When medical care is politicized, the ending is never good. #TransRights #GayRights #HumanRights #Politics
