The only thing Trump is doing is deliberately driving the economy into the dirt for a second ‘Great’ Depression.

After that there’s only a third world war.

What the #US and #trump will do when world trade adjusts and shuts out the US.

That's a counter to tariffs, the rest of the world will establish new trade ties and the US will be left out.

What will the US do then? #war perhaps?
Invading #Greenland to seize resources is not beyond imagination. Or the US will just act like #israel and become full blown #genocidal warmongering assholes and spark #ww3

Of course #Australia will get roped in on the US' behalf as all politicians here are cowards.

One thing that I haven’t seen discussed much about Trump’s tariffs is how it increases the risk of large-scale war going forward.

The free trade economic model adopted post-WW2 was specifically designed to make countries economically interdependent and therefore less likely to go to war with each other. (It was also intended to make the rich even richer, in which it wildly succeeded, but that’s another story.)

Trump’s dismantling free trade will undermine global stability for decades to come. If there is a WW3, we may be able to point to today as a significant contributing factor.

Donald #Trump is NOT preventing #WorldWar3 by giving #Russia a win in #Ukraine, backing out of #NATO and dismantling the rule based world order. Rather the opposite. HE is gambling with #WW3!
