After that, you can always get a free account by asking an existing Write.as user for an invite.

Otherwise, you can support our independent, 10-year-old publishing platform by subscribing to Write.as Pro! (write.as/pro)

And of course, you can always join one of the many independent @writefreely communities out there (writefreely.org/instances).

Write.asWrite.as ProWrite.as Pro gives individual writers all they need to write, publish, and reach an audience.

Just rolled out some fediverse-related improvements:

- Now you can follow Write.as blogs from Ghost! There was a tiny bug with this that we just fixed. (WriteFreely PR: writefreely.org/pull/1373)

- We now support the `preview` property as a fallback for Articles. This will make your posts look much nicer as more platforms support it! (WriteFreely PR: writefreely.org/pull/1374)

Hey @apps @Gargron @blog and whoever else in the #fediverse who might know anything about this..

I have several accounts on various fediverse services. On my #mastodon account / #fedilab client I've made a list where I have added all my other users, including my #WriteFreely #writeas user to make the stuff I post easy to find.

My pixelfed and other stuff appears in the list, but none of my write.as stuff do. Any idea why, and what the issue might be? #fedihelp

Write.as has been on the web for an entire decade!! 🥳 We launched February 2, 2015.

I'll share more about how we got to where we are today soon. But for now, if you've been eyeing our very-discounted 5-year plan, it's the perfect time to grab it! Only $180 for 5 YEARS of Write.as Pro, which includes everything the platform offers. Read more:

#AmWriting #Blog question!

I've been using a free version of WP for the last 5 years and it's been OK enough for me. But with all the changes everywhere, I'm looking for a new blog home.

I found a site that hosts, that supports ActivityPub, and that seems suitable, as I can't self host (no knowledge and all that). But... The version that I would like is a paid version. And I don't mind paying for a good service, but money is tight, so I want to be sure if they are really worth it before I could see if I can make the finances work out.

If that makes sense....

The site I found is: write.as/about

I would like a pro version then, and see if I can get the app for my laptop, as I would like to work with themes and I'm used to writing in an app environment.

Does any of you have a blog that's hosted by this site??
If so, what are your experiences with it?
Is it easy to use for a tech n00b?
Is it worth the monthly costs? (as I'm not rich enough to get a discount for yearly payments).

It will be while before I could make the switch, so I have some time to "investigate". 😊 But all feedback would be really welcome!

Thanks in advance for your replies! Looking forward to learning more about this write freely supported blog site to as if it could be suitable for me! 😁

Write.asAbout Write.asWrite.as is the easiest way to publish your writing on the web.

Something good happened this year with my writing. I said goodbye to Medium and hello to @write_as.

At first Medium was lovely. Then they went down the dark side of publishing with:

1. Pay-to-win membership
2. Editor-promoted of clickbait
3. Account gatekeeping

I dive deeper in my piece. Please give it a read.
