Emanuel #Navarette retained his #WBO #JuniorLightweightBelt by knocking down Oscar #Valdez twice in 5 rounds & knocking Valdez out with a paralyzing liver shot in the 6th. This was a rematch of a previous fight that Navarette also won in a 12 round UD.

Unlike the 1st fight, Navarette dominated Valdez from the start &, while Valdez got a few shots in, he really had no answer for Navarette's power.

No need for a 3rd rematch unless no one else in the Jr Lightweight division will fight Navarette, which certainly is a possibility but, given rubber tire that Navarette was displaying around his midsection during the fight, it wouldn't be hard for him to step up to a fight as a #Lightweight again even though he lost his only fight to Denys Berinchyk at that weight 6 months ago.

What about #Stevenson? I haven't seen #Davis fight but Stevenson is better known & would be the fight that would probably go 1st to PPV.

So, I'd like to see Davis vs Stevenson to unify the #WBA & #WBC belts
and #Lomo v #Berinchyk to unify the #IBF & #WBO belts and then the winner of those fights to fight each other unify all 4 belts.

The only catch is that Davis has to beat Martin in June to defend his WBA belt & Stevenson has to beat Harutyunyan in July to defend his WBC belt.

In the meantime, Lomo can fight Berinchyk which is a fight Lomo "should" win and then Lomo (as the IBF & WBO champ) can wait to fight the winner of a match between Stevenson & Davis, unless they don't want to fight each other, in which case, he can fight either one of them who is willing to face him instead.

We'll see . . .
