Tonight an attempt at the #Waterloo Catholic School Board to ban all flags, except the Canadian and Ontario flags, was defeated. This followed 6 weeks of intense community activism as a wide range of groups came together to protest the ban, which would have affected not just Pride flags, but also any other form of cultural representation other than official government flags.
