I said my track had "less voltage" than its inspiration today, by which I meant that it sounded less electrically dirty and more stable than the original. I had planned to "downgrade" the sound quality on my track at the end of the day, but there was no time. On Plantasia you can virtually *feel* the ohm.

That reminded me that there's a great, free synth that replicates some of that feeling beautifully and easily: #Pendulate by #NewfangledAudio. Give it a go!

Based on the overall surprisingly great experience of the last week, I started writing a little guide / overview on the current state of using Windows #VST2 #VST3 #VSTi plugins in Linux systems.

tl;dr: It's possible and it's relatively easy thanks to #yabridge , but before you leave Windows behind entirely, you should know what your long-term goal is.

After only two weeks of excitedly getting started with #ZorinOS #Linux, I've yesterday shut down #Windows for the last time on any of my devices.
Even one of my specific use cases, Music production with Windows-based #VSTi, is entirely possible and workable through solutions like #yabridge

This has been a huge and remarkably easy step for me, thanks to the superb design and transition-friendly experience #Zorin offer from start to finish.

And yes, it's entirely free. I opted to get a Pro license mainly to support this organization.
